Summary of CIRM rounds of funding

CIRM Funding Commitments

CIRM carefully tracks funds spent on each round of funding. The table below shows the following values for each round of funding:

ICOC approved funds: The funding level approved by the Governing Board. This is the value that is originally reported in the press release and in the award summary.
Actual award funds: The current total authorized funding for the award issued by CIRM, reflecting budget review by CIRM and any adjustments made during the course of the award.
Funds dispursed to date: The actual funds dispursed to date for each round of funding. Many awards span multiple years, and funds are given out throughout period of the award. This amount gets reduced if award funds are returned to CIRM.
ICOC approved concepts: The funds allocated by Governing Board when it approves the concept proposal for a new funding round.
