Spotlight on Deafness: Seminar by Diana Kaljian

Diana Susan Kaljian spoke at the “Spotlight on Deafness,” an educational event presented at the CIRM Governing Board Meeting on March 12, 2008. Kaljian spoke about the impact of severe hearing loss on her life and answered a question from the audience about her hearing loss.

Kaljian was introduced by her physician, Karen Doyle, M.D., Ph.D. Dr. Doyle is a professor of otology and neurotology at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine. After Kaljian’s talk, Claire Pomeroy, M.D., M.B.A and Robert Klein, J.D. gave concluding remarks. Klein is Chair of the CIRM Governing Board and President of Klein Financial Corporation. Pomeroy is Vice Chancellor for Human Health Sciences and Dean of the School of Medicine at the University of California, Davis.

The CIRM-hosted event was presented at the Crest Theater in Sacramento, California in partnership with the University of California, Davis.
