NCE (Year 7)

The UC Davis Translational Human Stem Cell Shared Research Facility (TSRF) is a fully functional facility that focuses on pluripotent stem cells. The TSRF is a self-contained facility with 3 fully equipped cell culture laboratories each with biosafety cabinets, incubators, centrifuges, microscopes, and all of the necessary supplies and consumables for trainees and investigators to use. Additional individual laboratories within the facility provide flow cytometry and cell sorting, molecular biology, histology, controlled-rate cryopreservation and cell storage, as well as 2D and 3D culture, with highly experienced staff to assist investigators and trainees. The conference room provides opportunities for teleconferencing and videoconferencing for participants at distant sites including the Institute for Regenerative Cures in Sacramento, and partnering institutions such as UC Merced, and trainees from the California State University Bridges to Stem Cell Research training programs. The facility supports research efforts at any California institution with faculty and trainees interested in conducting human stem/progenitor cell research.
