Diabetes: Progress and Promise in Stem Cell Research

CIRM has funded the Diabetes Disease Team led by scientists at ViaCyte, Inc., UCSF, and the La Jolla Institute for Allergy and Immunology. This team aims to bring an embryonic stem cell based therapy for diabetes to clinical trials. For more info, see our diabetes fact sheet.
