Spotlight on Arthritis: Seminar by William Robinson, M.D., Ph.D.

William Robinson, M.D., Ph.D. spoke at the “Spotlight on Arthritis,” an educational event presented at the CIRM Governing Board meeting on January 30, 2009. Robinson presented an overview of osteoarthritis (OA), the most common form of arthritis. He also discussed recent research results from his laboratory, which suggest that the complement pathway of the immune system plays a central role in OA. Robinson is an assistant professor of medicine, specializing in immunology and rheumatology, at the Stanford University Medical Center.

Dr. Robinson was introduced by his colleague, Mark Genovese, M.D. Dr. Genovese is a professor of medicine, specializing in immunology and rheumatology, at the Stanford University Medical Center.

The CIRM-hosted event was presented in Burlingame, California in partnership with Stanford University.
