Spotlight on Huntington’s Disease (2007): Seminar by Robert Pacifici, Ph.D.

Robert Pacifici, Ph.D., spoke at the “Spotlight on Huntington’s Disease,” an educational event presented at the CIRM Governing Board meeting on December 12, 2007.  Pacifici presented an overview of Huntington’s disease and briefly described how stem cell research enables drug discovery efforts for this devastating disease. Pacifici is the chief scientific officer of CHDI Foundation Inc.

Dr. Pacifici was introduced by Oswald Steward, Ph.D. Dr. Stewart is a member of the CIRM Governing Board and is chair and director of the Reeve-Irvine Research Center at the University of California, Irvine.

The CIRM-hosted event was presented in partnership with Huntington’s Disease Society of America and University of California, Los Angeles.
