Funding Opportunities for Infrastructure Projects

Objective

The mission of the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM) is to accelerate world-class science to deliver transformative regenerative medicine treatments in an equitable manner to a diverse California and world. In December 2021, CIRM released its Strategic Plan for 2022-2027

The Strategic Plan describes CIRM’s Infrastructure Programs which are designed to address the challenges that currently hinder progress in the regenerative medicine field.

Opportunities for INFR funding are currently closed.

INFR 8: CIRM Community Care Centers of Excellence (CCCEs)

The objective of this funding opportunity is to establish geographically diverse and culturally responsive centers of excellence to (1) support access to FDA-authorized clinical trials involving cell, gene, and/or approved regenerative medicine treatments, (2) make these treatments broadly available to California patients, and (3) provide workforce career development opportunities. The CCCEs will work in partnership with the Clinical Infrastructure Network and other CIRM programs to expand equitable access to communities and populations that would otherwise have more limited opportunities in the absence of these centers.
